Unicorn® Peppermills
Makers of top pepper grinders on Nantucket Island.

Local Nantucketer Tom David was stirring sauce one day and the directions said “Add fresh ground pepper”. Tom wondered how one could stir the sauce and add fresh ground pepper at the same time? From that thought Tom invented the one handed Peppergun®. This peppermill allows a user to grip the mill like a pair of pliers and squeeze the handle for easy pepper grinding. His design won many awards including the silver medal at the Paris Inventors Show.

Over the years Tom went on to design other award winning pepper grinding successors such as the 6” Magnum®, and the 9” Magnum Plus®. Both these grinders have been rated as the best peppermills by Cook’s Illustrated magazine, Fine Cooking magazine, The New York Times and Cuisine at home. Other Models include the tiny travel size Minimill®, only 3” high and great for traveling, and the new Keytop®. Unicorn® grinders come in black with a couple models also available in red. There are also matching salt grinders in white that have nylon grinding mechanisms to keep the grinders from corroding. All the peppermills are made out of tough and easy to clean ABS plastic and are easy loading.
